About Northern Territory Adventures
The Northern Territory is Australia at its wildest and most ancient. From the tropical Top End around Darwin to the vast red deserts of the Red Centre, the NT delivers experiences that feel like stepping into another world entirely.
Dundee Adventure's Northern Territory tours cover the highlights of this incredible region. Cruise through crocodile-infested waters in Kakadu National Park — a World Heritage site the size of Slovenia. Marvel at 20,000-year-old Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr and Nourlangie. Swim in the crystal-clear waterholes of Litchfield National Park (Florence Falls, Wangi Falls, Buley Rockhole). Canoe through the towering red walls of Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk). And camp under a sky absolutely packed with stars.
Our Top End tours depart from Darwin and range from 3-day Kakadu & Litchfield tours to comprehensive 7-day Top End adventures covering Kakadu, Katherine Gorge, Litchfield, and more. Red Centre tours departing from Alice Springs cover Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and Kings Canyon.
The Northern Territory is also home to some of Australia's most significant Aboriginal cultural sites. Our tours include visits to rock art galleries and cultural centres where local Aboriginal guides share stories of the Dreamtime and explain the deep spiritual connection between the land and its traditional custodians.
Best time to visit: The dry season (May to October) offers the best weather for the Top End, with warm days, cool nights, and accessible waterfalls. The wet season (November to April) brings dramatic storms and lush green landscapes but some areas become inaccessible.
