It was alright

Expected a bit more based on the photos. The experience itself was fine but nothing extraordinary. Staff were nice enough. Probably wouldn't do it again.

Great day out, minor hiccup

Really enjoyed the experience overall. The pickup timing was a bit off and we waited 20 minutes, but once we got going it was fantastic. Staff were lovely.

Worth the money

Good experience overall. The booking was easy and the activity was fun. Would have liked slightly smaller groups but the guides managed well.

About Kakadu Wildlife Rock Art Tour + Wetlands

Operated by Wildlife Tours Australia · 12 Hours · Darwin, NT

Experience the ultimate Top End day trip in Kakadu National Park. Departing from Darwin, we head into World Heritage–listed Kakadu, where ancient First Nations rock art, wild landscapes and iconic Australian wildlife take centre stage. Kick off the day by choosing your adventure: - Jumping Crocodile Cruise – Get the adrenaline pumping as huge saltwater crocodiles launch themselves out of the Adelaide River right in front of you. OR - Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve – Explore a peaceful wetland packed with birdlife, reptiles and classic Top End scenery, set in an area rich with Indigenous heritage. We’ll stop at Corroboree Park Tavern to grab lunch or snacks and support a local business, before continuing into Kakadu. At the Bowali Visitor Centre, learn about the park’s cultural significance and browse local Aboriginal art and artefacts. Next up is Cahills Crossing, one of the best places in the region to safely spot saltwater crocodiles (access subject to conditions). Keep your eyes peeled — crocs love this spot. The journey continues to Ubirr Rock, home to some of Australia’s most important rock art sites and sweeping views across the surrounding floodplains. If Ubirr is inaccessible, we’ll instead visit Nourlangie Rock, another impressive cultural site known for its ancient art, shaded rock shelters and excellent birdwatching opportunities. Throughout the day, your experienced guide will bring Kakadu to life, sharing stories of the land, its wildlife and its First Nations culture as you travel through wetlands, escarpments and open floodplains. With regular photo stops, short walks and plenty of chances to spot wildlife, this tour strikes the perfect balance between adventure, culture and comfort — offering an unforgettable snapshot of Australia’s wild north in just one day.
