Step into Crocosaurus Cove for a close-up encounter with one of the Top End’s most intriguing freshwater locals. In this small-group Whipray Encounter, you’ll join experienced handlers for a hands-on session with a friendly whipray measuring around two metres across, watching it glide in with calm, curious confidence as you feed it yourself.
This is a relaxed, personal experience with a maximum of just four guests, so you’ve got time to ask questions, learn a few fascinating facts, and really appreciate these remarkable creatures up close. Your visit also includes full-day admission to Crocosaurus Cove, giving you plenty of time to explore more of the attraction before or after your encounter. If you’re keen to do something a little different in Darwin, this is a brilliant way to get face-to-face with the Top End’s aquatic wildlife.
Know before you go: - The minimum age for this encounter is 10 years old. - Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your booked session time. - The Whipray Encounter is part of the 3:30pm afternoon aquarium show. - Numbers are strictly limited to keep the experience intimate, so book ahead. - Wear comfortable clothing and closed-in shoes for your visit. - Your booking includes full-day entry, so allow extra time to explore Crocosaurus Cove before or after the encounter.
