Fraser Coast

The Fraser Coast region encompasses Hervey Bay, Rainbow Beach, and serves as the gateway to K'gari (Fraser Island) — the world's largest sand island and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hervey Bay is Australia's whale watching capital. From July to November, thousands of humpback whales rest in the calm, sheltered waters of Hervey Bay during their annual migration.
