K'gari Getaway Tour — 3 Day / 2 Night

Three days is the minimum to see K'gari properly — one night at Kingfisher Bay Resort to arrive and settle in, then two days of guided 4WD touring across the island's east and west coasts.

Day one you ferry across to K'gari and check into Kingfisher Bay Resort on the tranquil western bay. Use the afternoon to swim, explore the resort's boardwalks through the surrounding rainforest, or just decompress. The resort has a pool, bar, restaurant and genuine island-time atmosphere.

Days two and three are full touring days in an air-conditioned 4WD coach with an expert local guide. You'll tick off Lake McKenzie (the crystal-clear freshwater lake that's become one of Queensland's most photographed spots), Pile Valley's towering rainforest, the emerald oasis of Lake Wabby, 75 Mile Beach, Eli Creek, and Central Station. Your guide fills in the details that self-drivers miss — why the sand is white, how rainforest grows on sand, where the dingoes are likely to be.

Breakfast and lunch are included on touring days. Ferry transfers and national park fees are covered in the price.
