Surf Experience

Get a feel for surfing in one of Australia’s most famous beachside playgrounds. This 2-hour lesson at Surfers Paradise is built for first-timers, with friendly coaching, warm water and waist-deep conditions that make it easy to settle in and start learning the basics.

You’ll cover surf theory, ocean awareness and board control before heading out to practise paddling and catching waves with hands-on guidance the whole way through. The lesson is designed to help you stand up sooner, with step-by-step techniques that keep things safe, simple and genuinely fun.

With patrolled beaches, lifeguard-qualified instructors and that classic Gold Coast surf energy all around you, it’s a brilliant way to try surfing for the first time. If you’ve ever wanted to hop on a board and give it a proper go, this is your chance to do it in a relaxed, supportive setting.

Know before you go: - This experience is suitable for beginners aged 7 and over. - Lessons take place in waist-deep water at Surfers Paradise for a safer learning environment. - Bring swimwear, a towel and sunscreen, and wear comfortable clothing to and from the beach. - Arrive a little early so you have time to check in and get ready for your lesson. - Conditions can change with the weather and surf, so your instructor may adjust the session to suit the day.
