As you paddle past The Pass, Wategos, and Australia’s easternmost point, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, turtles and — in the right season — whales cruising through these waters. You’ll also hear stories of local Aboriginal culture and sacred places, while the Byron Bay Lighthouse and rugged coastline make for a seriously good backdrop. It’s the kind of morning or afternoon that leaves you salty, smiling, and already planning your next paddle.
Know before you go: - Check in at the tour trailer on the park opposite 56 Lawson St, Byron Bay, 25 minutes before departure. - Tours depart daily at 9:30 am and 1:00 pm year-round, with special sunrise departures offered on selected dates. - This tour is suitable for guests aged 5 and over, and no kayaking experience is needed. - Bookings are essential, and all safety gear is provided on the day. - If you’re prone to motion sickness, this ocean-based tour may not be the best fit; ask about the Brunswick River Kayak Tour instead. - Dogs and cats can’t be taken on the tour.
