Great little adventure
Fun, active and scenic. Arms got a workout but the views were worth it. Nice small group and a knowledgeable, friendly guide.

Lovely relaxed morning
Easy enough for a first-timer and the guide pointed out heaps of wildlife. The still water and mirror reflections were beautiful.

So serene
Gliding through the mirrored waterways was magic. Saw sea eagles and turtles along the way. A calm, beautiful escape from the busy spots.

Paddling paradise
Glassy water, dolphins in the distance and a super chilled guide. Kayaking here was so peaceful and the scenery was gorgeous. Loved every minute.

The guide was fantastic and the route was stunning. Perfect mix of paddling and floating along soaking it all in. Would do it again.

About Byron Bay Sea Kayak Tour (Sunrise)
Operated by Go Sea Kayak · 2 Hours · Byron Bay, NSW
There’s something special about launching onto the water before Byron Bay has fully woken up. On this sunrise sea kayak tour, you’ll head out when conditions are at their best, gliding through the calm morning swell with Cape Byron’s coastline lit up by the first light of day. Keep your eyes open for dolphins surfing the waves beside you, turtles surfacing for air, and, in season, whales cruising past the headland.
As you paddle around Cape Byron Marine Park, your guides share local Aboriginal stories and the cultural significance of the places you pass, bringing the landscape to life in a way few visitors get to experience. You’ll also get a cracking view of The Pass, Wategos, the lighthouse and Australia’s most easterly point from the water. It’s an early start, but the reward is a peaceful, wildlife-filled morning that feels a world away from the crowds. If you want to see Byron from its best angle, this is the one to book.
Know before you go: - This tour runs only on selected mornings when sea and weather conditions are ideal, so advance booking is essential. - Meet at the tour trailer opposite 56 Lawson Street, Byron Bay, 20 minutes before departure. - The sunrise tour starts at 6:30am and usually finishes around 8:45am. - No kayaking experience is needed — your guides will show you exactly what to do before you launch. - Children aged 5 and over can join the tour, subject to a suitable fit and conditions. - Bring sun protection, a hat, water and a towel, and wear clothing you don’t mind getting splashed.
