Surf Experience

Get set for a fun, confidence-building introduction to surfing on Lorne’s beautiful coastline. Over two easygoing hours, you’ll learn the basics from the ground up — from ocean awareness and surf theory to paddling, balance, and how to pop up on the board with the help of specially designed beginner techniques. If you’ve never surfed before, this is exactly the kind of lesson that gets you feeling comfortable in the water fast.

The session takes place in safe, waist-deep water under the watchful eye of lifeguard-qualified instructors, so you can focus on finding your feet and enjoying the ride. Lorne is a cracker of a place to learn, with gentle waves and a beach sheltered from heavy southerly swells and winds. It’s relaxed, scenic, and made for first-timers — and with a bit of guidance, you might be standing up on your very first lesson. Come along keen, and leave with salt on your skin and a proper taste for surfing.
