Noosa Everglades Kayak Adventure (Self-Guided)

Set out from Elanda Point and spend the day exploring one of Queensland’s most beautiful paddle routes at your own pace. This self-guided kayak adventure takes you across Lake Cootharaba and into the calm, reflective waterways of the Noosa Everglades, where mirrored water, tea-tree-lined banks and quiet birdlife set the scene for an easy-going day on the water.

You’ll have the freedom to drift through the upper Noosa River, pause at Harry’s Hut, and stop by Kinaba Information Centre to get your bearings along the way. With route guidance, kayaking tuition and all your safety gear sorted, it’s a relaxed way to experience the Everglades without feeling rushed. Bring your lunch, your water, and a sense of adventure, then settle in for a proper Queensland day outdoors. If you like your nature with a side of freedom, this one’s right up your alley.

Know before you go: - Your departure point is Elanda Point National Park Canoe Launch Areas car park, 204 Lake Flat Road. - Plan for an 8:30am start and allow until around 3:00pm for the full experience. - Bring your own food and at least 2 litres of water per person for the day. - Pack sun protection, a hat, insect repellent, a rain jacket and clothes you don’t mind getting wet. - Wear shoes that can get wet and bring a towel plus a dry change of clothes for after paddling. - If you’d like return transfers from Noosa, they must be booked separately in advance.
