Broome to Perth

Set off from Broome and spend 21 days winding your way through the best of Western Australia, from big-sky beaches and red dirt country to reef-fringed coastlines and dramatic inland gorges. This is a shared self-drive style trip, so you’ll pitch in with the cooking, camping and driving while meeting a like-minded crew along the way.

You’ll start with the long, lonely stretch of coast past 80 Mile Beach and Port Hedland before heading inland to Karijini National Park, where deep gorges, rocky trails and cool swimming holes steal the show. From there, the route swings back to the sea for Exmouth, Ningaloo Reef, Coral Bay, Monkey Mia, Kalbarri and the surreal limestone pillars of the Pinnacles. With a recommended itinerary to guide you, plenty of flexibility, and a proper taste of WA’s wild side, this is road tripping done the Dundee way. Know before you go: - This is a self-guided shared minibus rental, not a fully guided tour, so you and your crew share the driving, camping and day-to-day decisions. - Drivers must be 21 years or older and hold a current regular driver’s licence; non-drivers are not permitted to drive. - Pack light, with a limit of around 20 kg total luggage, ideally one large bag plus a small day pack. - Bring your own water bottle, sunscreen and torch, as these are not supplied for you. - Expect mostly free camping along the route, with some campsites and experiences recommended in the guidebook. - Your full guidebook will be provided a few days before departure and includes suggested sights, free activities, paid add-ons and discount info.
