Whale Watching on EXTREME - Circular Quay Departure

Set off from Circular Quay aboard a purpose-built, high-speed rigid inflatable vessel and feel Sydney peel away behind you as you head for the open ocean. This is whale watching with a bit of grit to it: you’ll skim past the harbour, swing by Manly Wharf to collect more passengers, then punch through the Heads and out into the South Pacific in search of migrating whales in their natural habitat.

Once offshore, your skipper stays in constant contact with other boats to track down the most relaxed and approachable pods, giving you the best chance of a close, respectful encounter. Expect sea spray, a fast ride, and plenty of time scanning the horizon for a tail slap, a breach, or that unmistakable plume of breath hanging in the air. Know before you go: - This tour is for guests aged 12 years and over. - Check in at Campbell's Cove Pontoon, Circular Quay, at least 15 minutes before departure. - The vessel also picks up passengers at Manly Wharf before heading offshore. - Conditions on the open ocean can be bumpy and windy, so dress for a fast, exposed ride. - Bring a windproof jacket, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a camera. - Whale sightings are common in season, but as with any wildlife tour, they can never be guaranteed.
