Blue Mountains & Wildlife Park Day Trip

Spend the day roaming from Sydney’s wildlife country into the cool air of the Blue Mountains on a small-group trip built for travellers who like to stay active and get hands-on with the landscape. Your first stop is Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you can get close to some of Australia’s best-loved animals and see koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, emus and more up close.

Then it’s west into the mountains for sweeping World Heritage lookouts, a relaxed wander through Katoomba, and time to grab lunch your way at one of the local cafes or eateries. In the afternoon, you’ll head off the main circuit and onto quieter bush tracks where the eucalyptus hangs in the air, waterfalls tumble through the forest, and native birds call through the valley. The day finishes at the Three Sisters, where your guide shares the local Aboriginal stories, bush tucker knowledge and native flora that give this place its meaning. It’s a proper Blue Mountains day out, with great scenery, great company and plenty to talk about on the drive back.

Know before you go: - This tour includes bushwalks on uneven ground, so a good level of mobility and reasonable fitness are required. - Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring layers, as mountain weather can change quickly through the day. - Pack water, sunscreen, a hat and your camera or phone for the lookouts and wildlife stops. - Lunch is at your own expense in Katoomba, so bring a card or cash for your meal and any extras. - Please arrive at your confirmed meeting point a little early so the day can get away on time. - Follow your guide’s instructions around wildlife and on the tracks to keep yourself and the animals safe.
