Bucket-list whale watching
Humpbacks everywhere, a calf breaching over and over. The commentary really added to it. Warm, friendly crew and a very comfortable boat.

Whales put on a show!
We had humpbacks breaching right beside the boat — mums and calves waving their fins. The crew clearly knew where to find them. Magical morning.

Great morning on the water
Plenty of whale activity and a knowledgeable crew. Would have liked a touch longer out there but a wonderful experience overall.

So close to the whales
A curious whale came right up to the boat and hung around for ages. The guides were passionate and knew heaps about the humpbacks. Unforgettable.

Amazing sightings
Saw multiple whales breaching and tail-slapping. Bit of swell out there but the skipper positioned us perfectly for photos. Loved it.

Better than I imagined
We saw more whales than I ever expected — breaching, spy-hopping, the lot. The crew were brilliant and even guaranteed a sighting. Do it!

About Tangalooma Island Resort - Whale Watching Day Cruise with Dolphin Feeding
Operated by Tangalooma Island Resort · 1 Day · Brisbane, QLD
Spend the day where Brisbane meets the open water, with a mix of big-moment wildlife watching and easy island relaxation. You’ll leave from Holt St Wharf and head across Moreton Bay on a 3-hour whale watch cruise, feeling the salt air on your face as you scan the horizon for humpbacks. A light lunch is served on board, along with one standard beverage, so you can settle in and enjoy the ride.
Back at Tangalooma Island Resort, your day pass gives you access to the pools, bars, restaurants and day lounge, plus Eco Ranger experiences that bring the island’s marine life into focus. You’ll also head into the Eco Centre for the “Discover the world of Dolphins” presentation, then finish the day with access to the famous wild dolphin feeding program. It’s a relaxed, wildlife-rich day out with just the right amount of resort comfort — a proper Brisbane escape worth locking in.
Know before you go: - Please make your own way to Holt St Wharf in Brisbane and allow plenty of time before departure for boarding. - Bring sun protection, including a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, as well as a light layer for the breezy boat ride. - If you plan to use the resort pools or change after the cruise, pack swimwear and a towel. - Wildlife sightings can vary depending on sea conditions and the time of year, so bring a camera or binoculars if you have them. - Carry a card or cash for any extra snacks, drinks or purchases at the resort. - Your dolphin feeding access is subject to resort operations and daily wildlife conditions, so follow staff instructions on the day.
