Perfect family activity

Took the whole family and everyone loved it — from the kids to the grandparents. Such a well-run operation. Highly recommend for families!

Okay experience

The activity itself was fun but the organisation left a bit to be desired. Bus was late, lunch was average. The actual experience made up for it somewhat.

Great day out, minor hiccup

Really enjoyed the experience overall. The pickup timing was a bit off and we waited 20 minutes, but once we got going it was fantastic. Staff were lovely.

About Grampians National Park Wildlife & Waterfall Tour

Operated by Wildlife Tours Australia · 12 Hours, 30 Minutes · Melbourne, VIC

Ready to escape the ordinary? It’s time to go wild in the Grampians. This one-day adventure takes you deep into Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park — a place where ancient sandstone mountains, roaring waterfalls and wide-open views steal the show. Shaped over millions of years and deeply connected to Aboriginal culture, this landscape is pure natural drama. We kick things off with a stop in the relaxed country town of Beaufort, perfect for a leg stretch and a quick snack before the action begins. From there, it’s full throttle into the Grampians, where crisp mountain air, winding roads and wildlife sightings set the tone for the day. Once inside the park, we’ll visit the Halls Gap Visitor Information Centre to learn about the region’s Aboriginal heritage and its powerful connection to Country. Then it’s boots on and cameras out — we’re heading for the views. Expect panoramic hikes to some of the park’s most iconic lookouts, including Boroka Lookout, Reeds Lookout, and The Balconies (also known as the Jaws of Death). These dramatic rock formations were featured in Princess Mononoke — and trust us, they’re even more epic in real life. Wind-in-your-hair vibes and endless photo ops guaranteed. By midday, we roll into Halls Gap for lunch (at your own expense). This chilled mountain town is a backpacker favourite, with plenty of cafés, bakeries and pubs — plus kangaroos often hopping around nearby. Next up: MacKenzie Falls. One of Victoria’s most powerful waterfalls, this spot brings the energy. We tackle the steps down to the base, where the roar of the falls and cool mist make the effort totally worth it. If conditions allow and the group’s keen, we may also check out Silverband Falls or Beehive Falls — quieter spots with their own kind of magic. As the day winds down, keep your eyes peeled for kangaroos, emus and native wildlife grazing freely as we cruise through the park. Then it’s time to kick back, relax, and head back to Melbourne with tired legs, full hearts and a camera roll stacked with memories. - Meals: morning tea & snacks - Driving distance: 600km - Walking distance: ~4km _*Wildlife Tours reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary schedule during seasonal weather fluctuations and/or during park closures._
