Spend one incredible day off Port Lincoln combining two of South Australia’s most iconic marine encounters. First, cruise out to Hopkins or Grindal Island for a swim with playful Australian sea lions, where you can slip into the water or stay aboard and watch these curious locals twist, dive, and dance around the boat. On the 11.00am departure, you’ll also enjoy an island lunch stop along the way, giving you time to take in the coastal scenery and salt-tinged sea breeze.
Then the pace changes as you head for Neptune Islands Marine Park, home to the mighty great white shark. This is where the adventure gets seriously special: shark cage diving with expert crew on board, plus dinner at sea and a sunset cruise home to round out the day. On some dates, the tour departs earlier at 6.30am and may run in reverse, with breakfast served instead of dinner. However your day is timed, you’ll get the full thrill of sea lions, sharks, and South Australia’s wild marine coastline in one unforgettable journey.
Know before you go: - The tour usually runs for around 10 to 12 hours, with departure times varying by season. - A Visitor Use Fee applies to all guests entering the Ron and Valerie Taylor Marine Park on shark cage diving tours. - Guests who choose not to enter the cage are still welcome, and the ticket price is the same for everyone on board. - If no shark is sighted, the operator offers a discounted return ticket under its No Shark Policy. - On some dates the tour departs at 6.30am and may operate in reverse, with breakfast served instead of dinner. - Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a warm layer for the return cruise.
