Broomstick is a genuine ocean-racing maxi yacht — 80 feet of serious sailboat that heels over, picks up speed, and makes you feel like you're actually sailing rather than motoring between islands on a catamaran.

This 2-day, 2-night trip is built for people who want adventure with their Whitsundays experience. The sailing between stops is the highlight, not just the transit — when the sails fill and Broomstick leans into a gust, it's a rush that smaller boats simply can't deliver. The crew are experienced sailors who'll get you involved if you want: trimming sails, helming, grinding winches.

Between the sailing, you'll visit Whitehaven Beach (consistently ranked among the world's best beaches), hike up to Hill Inlet lookout for the famous aerial view, and snorkel on vibrant coral reefs around the Whitsunday Islands.

Meals are prepared on board by the crew — good, hearty food designed for hungry sailors. BYO drinks. Sleeping is in shared cabin berths below deck — functional rather than luxurious, but after a day of sailing and snorkelling you'll sleep like a rock.

This boat attracts a younger, more active crowd — mostly 18-35 — who want to feel the wind and the spray rather than lounge on a sun deck. It's social, energetic and genuinely fun. If you've never been on a maxi yacht, this is probably your only chance outside of a Sydney-Hobart crew berth.
