Check in at the marina in Airlie Beach and meet your crew and fellow travellers before boarding Broomstick. After a safety briefing, you’ll set sail through the Whitsunday Passage towards the islands. Spend the afternoon relaxing on deck, getting a feel for the ex-racing yacht and enjoying your first swim or snorkel stop (weather and tides permitting). As the sun sets, you’ll anchor in a sheltered bay for dinner and your first night on board.
Wake up to island views and breakfast on deck before heading to world-famous Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy time to explore the soft white sand and take in the views from the Hill Inlet lookout. In the afternoon, Broomstick will sail to one or two snorkel sites where you can swim with colourful fish and see coral in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. After a full day of sailing and exploring, relax on board with dinner and another night under the stars.
After breakfast, enjoy a final sail back towards Airlie Beach. Take in the scenery, grab your last photos and soak up the sailing experience before disembarking late morning or around midday (exact times vary with conditions and departure schedule).

Broomstick departs from the marina in Airlie Beach, QLD. Your ticket will include check-in time and exact meeting location. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before departure.
Accommodation is in shared cabins on board Broomstick. This is a social, backpacker-style sailing trip, so expect bunk-style beds in shared spaces rather than private rooms.

Basic swimming ability is recommended to enjoy the snorkelling stops. Life jackets and flotation devices may be available on request, but conditions can vary and you enter the water at your own risk.
Bring a small soft bag (no hard suitcases), swimwear, towel, hat, sunscreen, light clothing, a warm layer for the evenings, a reusable water bottle and any personal medication. A full packing list is provided with your booking confirmation.
