K’gari Swag Camping Tour (Fraser Island): a 3 day / 2 night 4WD tag-along adventure built for backpackers and young travellers (18–35). Drive the famous 75 Mile Beach, swim at Lake McKenzie, float Eli Creek and tick off icons like the SS Maheno Shipwreck. Nights are spent at a private beachside campsite with hot showers, hearty meals and classic campfire vibes — then finish with an exclusive post-tour party at KB’s Bar.
This kgari tour is the ideal mix of adventure and social travel. Your guide leads the convoy while you and your group take turns behind the wheel on K’gari’s sand tracks and beaches (driving is optional).
Across three days you’ll hit the island’s must-sees — Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, the SS Maheno Shipwreck and more — with time to swim, relax and take photos. Nights are spent at a private beachside campsite with hot showers, hearty meals and classic campfire vibes.
Also known as a Fraser Island tour, this kgari tour is a road trip, an adventure, and a new group of mates all in one.

Meet in Noosa (or Rainbow Beach), store luggage, then travel to Rainbow Beach to collect the group and complete vehicle orientation. Cross to K’gari by ferry and begin exploring the island depending on tides and conditions. Arrive at the beachside campsite, rinse off with an eco outdoor shower, then settle in for dinner and campfire time.
After a continental breakfast (cereal, toast, spreads, tea and coffee), spend the day exploring more of K’gari — freshwater lakes and creeks, beach driving, rainforest walks and iconic photo stops. Return to the same campsite for dinner prep, stories and stargazing.
Enjoy breakfast, then head out for final stops before starting the journey back around lunchtime. Return via Rainbow Beach and travel back to Noosa.
You’re welcome to bring your own drinks (cans only – no glass or spirits). Coolers and ice are provided at the campsite so you can keep everything cold.
Many travellers stay an extra night in Rainbow Beach or Noosa before or after the tour to make travel easier and enjoy the area. We can help you add accommodation to your booking if needed.
Power can be limited on K’gari, so bringing a portable charger or solar power bank is a great way to keep your phone and camera charged for photos.
All main meals on K’gari are included, but you may want extra snacks, soft drinks or treats for the drive and between activities.
We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical expenses and missed departures. This provides peace of mind in case plans change unexpectedly.
