Designed for travellers who want adventure at a relaxed pace, this soft-adventure experience takes you deep into Kakadu, Nitmiluk and Litchfield National Parks without the demanding hikes, giving you more time to unwind, swim and soak in the magic of the outback.
Your journey begins in Darwin before moving into Kakadu’s rich cultural landscape, where you’ll explore world-renowned rock art at Ubirr and cruise through the crocodile-filled wetlands of Corroboree Billabong. Swim beneath the red cliffs of Maguk, cool off at the hidden Ikoymarrwa (Moline Rockhole), and marvel at the towering escarpments of Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) on an included two-gorge cruise.
From peaceful bush camps to gorges carved through ancient stone, this Northern Territory adventure balances comfort with authenticity. Finish strong in Litchfield National Park, where Florence Falls, Buley Rockholes, and Wangi Falls offer some of the most iconic swimming spots in Australia.

Litchfield National Park occasionally closes attractions if they are considered unsafe to access. If Florence Falls, Wangi Falls or Bluey Rockholes are closed, activities will be substituted. Please see our ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section in the ‘Essential trip information’ for more.

A: Yes—this is a relaxed-pace Northern Territory adventure ideal for families with older kids aged 8+, couples and active seniors.
A: Walks are generally short and moderate, usually 1–2 hours across easy-to-moderate terrain.
A: You’ll stay in permanent powered tents with twin beds, shared facilities and a comfortable soft-adventure setup.
A: A soft bag (max 10–15 kg), daypack, refillable water bottle, swimwear, walking shoes, hat, sunscreen and light, breathable clothing. Please leave left excess luggage in storage in Darwin.
A: Pick up is included on select Darwin accommodation from 6:30am. Default pick up The Cavenagh Hotel (12 Cavenagh St) between 6.30-7.15am.

A:The tour starts in Darwin at 6:30am on Day 1 and returns to Darwin around 4pm on Day 4.
A: Passengers with special meal requirements or food allergies MUST ensure they or their travel agent inform ATA of this when booking. Food for the trip is purchased before commencement and special requirements cannot be catered for after departing. If you have not notified us prior to departure, you may be asked to pay for any additional food yourself. Due to the nature of our trips food is basic but plentiful. We provide the substitutes below; please bring your staples if you require specific foods not listed below:
