Day 1: Perth – Kalbarri
Kick off your adventure with a guided tour through the Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park, before enjoying lunch by the sea at Jurien Bay and journeying up Indian Ocean Drive for stunning coastal views. Stop at the famous Pink Lake just outside Geraldton (conditions permitting) before continuing to the seaside town of Kalbarri for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Kalbarri – Monkey Mia
Rise early for a magical start to the day with sunrise at either Nature’s Window or the Kalbarri Skywalk. Explore Murchison Gorge and the Z-Bend in Kalbarri National Park, where the river has carved its way through ancient sandstone. In wildflower season (spring), enjoy bright bursts of colour across the landscape. After lunch by the river mouth in Kalbarri, travel north towards Monkey Mia with plenty of comfort stops before arriving at your beachfront accommodation.

Day 3: Monkey Mia – Coral Bay
This morning, meet the famous Monkey Mia dolphins and capture some incredible photos. Enjoy some free time to relax on the beach or grab a coffee at the resort before hitting the road. Take in the spectacular cliff-top views over Denham at Eagle Bluff, then stroll along Shell Beach, made entirely of tiny shells, followed by lunch. Continue on to Coral Bay and settle into your accommodation right on the doorstep of the Ningaloo Reef.

Day 4: Coral Bay – Exmouth
Spend most of the day exploring the Ningaloo Reef, Australia’s largest fringing reef, at your own pace. In the late afternoon, make the short drive up the peninsula to Exmouth and check into your accommodation for the next two nights.

Relax on the sand or snorkel at stunning Turquoise Bay, one of WA’s most iconic beaches. Return to Exmouth in the early afternoon with free time to explore town or relax by the pool. Alternatively, upgrade your day to an incredible whaleshark or humpback swim tour (seasonal, at additional cost, pre-booking required). Finish the day with a visit to Vlamingh Head Lighthouse at sunset.

Continue to Geraldton, your final overnight stop, and enjoy a farewell dinner with the group at The Murchison Tavern (meals at guests’ own expense).

Day 7: Geraldton – Perth
Visit the HMAS Sydney II Memorial for panoramic views over Geraldton, then stretch your legs on the scenic 3 Bays Walk at Green Head. Wander among the ancient Stromatolites at Lake Thetis before a sweet stop at Yanchep Lavender Farm for lavender ice cream. Kick back on the coach as you return to Perth, with drop-offs starting around 6:00pm.

What is the fitness level required?
A moderate to advanced level of fitness is required. Walks range from 2–3km per day, often over steep rocky sections, in direct sunlight and high temperatures. Approximately 8km of walking is included across the tour. Participation in hikes is at the guide’s discretion for guest safety. A doctor’s certificate is required for travellers over 70 years, provided at least 30 days prior to travel.
What luggage can I bring?
Due to limited storage space on the mini-coach, guests may bring 1 x 20kg bag and 1 small day pack.
Do I need to help with camp or meal duties?
Guests are asked to participate in basic meal preparation, clean-up and loading/unloading the vehicle so that everyone can relax together after a big day of touring. It’s also a great way to get to know your fellow travellers.
What should I pack?
We recommend: 2L refillable water bottle, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimwear, all-weather clothing for hot days and cool nights, comfortable walking shoes and closed shoes, a 15kg overnight bag plus small day pack, flashlight or headlamp, insect repellent, camera, power bank, and money for snacks and additional meals. And of course, a sense of adventure!
Will the tour still run in bad weather?
Tours generally operate in all weather conditions. In the event of extreme or unsafe conditions, Autopia Tours may alter the itinerary or cancel the tour. If your experience is cancelled by the provider, alternative arrangements or options will be offered.
Can dietary requirements be catered for?
Yes, most dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice. Please advise all dietary needs, medical conditions, your date of birth and a contact phone number at the time of booking.

This tour is suitable for ages 6–90 years. It is best suited to families with older children who are comfortable with walking, heat and long travel days.
