Drive a 4WD along the famous 75 Mile Beach, swim in crystal-clear lakes and creeks, and sleep under the stars in your own Aussie swag at our private beachside campsite.
Over three days you’ll visit K’gari’s must-see highlights, including Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, the SS Maheno Shipwreck and towering sand dunes, with plenty of time to relax, swim and take photos. Your experienced guide leads the convoy and shares local stories, while you and your mates take turns behind the wheel on K’gari’s sand tracks and beaches.

The day is finally here, the first day of your awesome K'gari (Fraser Island) adventure. An early start, meeting at Nomads Noosa. After we get your luggage into storage, you'll be heading to Rainbow Beach where you'll be arriving after a 1.5-2hr drive. We stop here to pick up other guests refuel and head to our depot. Once the vehicle orientation is done, its a short drive to the ferry and 10 minutes later you are on K'gari. If anyone is being collected in Rainbow Beach, your bags will stored at the depot while on K'gari.
Enjoy the day exploring the Island before heading back to the campsite for an authentic Eco outdoor beach shower to rinse off before you have a few cold ones while cooking dinner and sitting around the camp fire.
Your second day means another early start so you get to make the most of your time on the island! After breakfast (continental style breakfast - cereal, toasts, spread, tea & coffee), we continue your adventure K'gari adventure. Back to the same camp site, help with dinner prep and then hang with your new friends.
Today, after breakfast we continue seeing the sights. We start to head home around lunch time. A brief stop at Rainbow Beach before driving back to Nomads Noosa arriving anytime between 3.00 - 7.00pm. Hand in your linen packs in return for your deposit (if you are ending your tour in Rainbow Beach, hand you pack to your guide and grab your deposit).
In Noosa please fill out a feedback forms before heading to your rooms.
We suggest staying overnight in Noosa as we cannot guarantee you will be back in time to catch you plane or bus, plus we don't want you to miss out on the entertainment we have at KB's bar. An amazing end to an amazing trip!
If you are leaving the tour in Rainbow we can drop you in town on the way back to Noosa.
(Return to Rainbow approx. 1–3 pm, Noosa 3–7 pm. Not recommended to book onward travel same day.)
You’re welcome to bring your own drinks (cans only – no glass or spirits). Coolers and ice are provided at the campsite so you can keep everything cold.
Many travellers stay an extra night in Rainbow Beach or Noosa before or after the tour to make travel easier and enjoy the area. We can help you add accommodation to your booking if needed.
Power can be limited on K’gari, so bringing a portable charger or solar power bank is a great way to keep your phone and camera charged for photos.
All main meals on K’gari are included, but you may want extra snacks, soft drinks or treats for the drive and between activities.
